Tom ‘Spats’ Langham has become one of the most talked about names on the jazz circuit today. With his virtuoso performances on acoustic guitar, banjo and ukulele and his ‘to die for’ vocals and easy wit he is the perfect front man for a trio that engages diehard and casual jazz fans alike.
‘The Hot Fingers Trio’ perform an eclectic mix of vintage acoustic string music; hot jazz of 1920’s New York, sophisticated 1930’s swing, the gypsy swing of Django Reinhardt and early blues of Lonnie Johnson.
‘Spats’ has performed with such notable names as: The Pasadena Roof Orchestra, The Temperance Seven, Acker Bilk and The Chris Barbers Band, but it is with his own combo that he is now gaining such respect.
Although just three in number they will play during their show nine different instruments and welcome the lovely vocals of Emily Campbell as a special feature.
